Bought an FZ1N front, got a tail tidy and I have Vortex rear sets on order. Now all I have to do is find the motivation to install everything. :)

^ Love this route, highway 1 is a great ride.I usually come in from Lucas Valley and go up to Tomales Bay.

Interesting to find this thread because I have had the exact same problem as some of you have described here and I have been using 91 octane since I purchased my FZ1. I will try using a lower octane fuel and see if that makes a difference. :dontknow:

Very nice, thanks for the glamour shots. So I got the R1 forks/calipers on my bike and a hyper pro shock I previously purchased. Everything feels great and the only problem was when the shop dropped my bike off of their lift, ouch. Not to much damage and they have offered to replace...

Hey guys I know the R1 front fork conversion questions have been done to death but I have a more specific question related to this upgrade. I have seen conflicting information so hopefully I can get some clarification here. I have purchased '06 R1 forks and calipers, where I'm a bit confused...

I'm contemplating buying a set of R1 forks ('04-'06) and calipers. Can anyone tell me if this is a worthwhile suspension upgrade for the gen 2?

It's an American thing, probably best not to try and understand it.
