    Gen II Parts For Sale

Unfortunately, I never took a picture on the bike. You have to remove your grip and slide the throttle lock over the throttle tube. There are two prongs that go on either side of the throttle cables. With the thumb tab in the unlocked position, the throttle lock slides over the tube freely...

    Cycleoneoff.com mirror block offs

I bought a set from Tom and they didn't fit either. It looked like they weren't centered correctly or the jig slipped. I talked with him and he looked at the other sets he had and they weren't cut right either. Tom made a new set for me and I returned the others and they fit great.

    Spencer's seat mod

Yes, I did the LD upgrade. I didn't do the passenger seat because my wife doesn't ride. I know what you mean about waiting. I actually bought another rider seat so I could keep riding until mine came back. Now I have a spare sitting in my garage in case I ever need it.

    Spencer's seat mod

I have a Spencer modded 08 and it's a huge improvement over the stocker. Yes, it keeps you from sliding into the tank in the normal riding position. You can still easily slide forward onto the tank if you need to. I can easily shift on the seat when I'm in the twisties.

    Custom Fit Leathers

This might be another option for custom leathers. Dave is real big on the SV650 forum. From reviews on that board, his stuff is top notch and well worth the money. His custom suits start at $650 and go to $899. He also does off the rack suits for $475. Here is a link to the SV site about...

    Visor colors?

Here is a link to a photochromic visor that looks interesting. Pretty expensive, but if you are light sensitive this might be an option. http://www.shieldtechllc.com/

    Getting out scratches

I tried the ColorRite pens and wasn't impressed. There is an obvious difference. I have an 08 Shift Red and you have to use 2 different pens (base / top) coats. What color is your bike? There is a thread on the other site about these and one of the guys found the Duplicolor works great for...

    handle bars

I cut 1/2" off each end on my bars. Makes all the difference in the world. I have aftermarket bar ends so I didn't have to worry about screwing in the stock bar ends.

Last Walk With My Old Friend

Sorry for your loss. The best friends I've ever had in my life had four paws. They give love and friendship unconditionally and they don't ask for anything.
