i am suprised how a lot of you. like a standard pipe ... all at least a quiet pipe yes the 2011 has black cover s on the standard pipe... cool may paint my not sure ?

got out on a nice ride today ...nice spring day in the uk.. gone back to standard can... ok it does not looks so cool ..but motor is so much smoother & a nice air intake sound in the the upper rev range also not problem with cops ... they are getting heavy on loud pipes

is my rear shock getting tried..?? the ride on my 08 fz1 is feeling a bit vague lately bike now done 4700 miles the rear shock feels quite soft & a bit vague when going into corners i am about 14 stone i am not... running standard shock settings spring perload is set to 5...

most of my engine noise does seems to be coming from generator or generator drive....i had thought about this a couple months backs back...but not took any notice off it recently.... if you look on this forum a couple months back someone had a problem with the generator or generator drive...

fz1 not worth alot of money in uk dealers all the dealers i have talked to say no thanks ... fz1.. are bad salers in the uk.. a hard bike to move on .. most have a couple in stock.... these bikes retail new around £9500.... resale second prices are dropping like a stone... maybe time to...

i have had my 08 FZ1 from new it came with 128 demo miles so as good as new... bike has now done 4700 miles .. 2 bike trips in spain & france ... my motor has always been abit noisy tick.. tick... tap tap yamaha sound i think fz1 motor are noisy FACT... my motor today is making the same...

i am getting notchy gear shifting at run in miles done 350 miles so far i feel not the best gearbox out there... changing from 3 to 4 is worst maybe it will get better as the miles rise sean ... uk

Hi You mentioned some chain sounding noise at some lower rpm's i have just bought a 08 fz1 with 158 mile on the clock it was a ex demo bike totally mint I have to continue to run the engine in which i am doing i have noticed that i am getting a chain sounding noise at some lower rpm's...
