it's hit and miss and i generally get more waves back from sportbike guys than cruisers. i wave at just about all riders unless i'm in the mountains fighting the twisties. there's times when i just don't see riders due to traffic but they may see me instead and wave.

i asked my yamaha mechanic about a valve adjustment on my YZF600R back when she was around 50k miles, he said basically if it runs fine don't even bother. at 90k miles it still runs strong, never had anything done besides the tranny rebuilt at 20k miles (previous owner couldn't shift).

i think i'm gonna use them up commuting to and from work, so far they're fine but i'm not going to push them. i'm used to a PR2 rear and a PP or PPP front combo, though i was running Q2 front/rear last time i went into the mountains. i'm thinking a Q2 front and a Roadsmart2 rear for my riding style.
anyway i come from the YZF600R forum and have been riding one for the last 5 years, got a good 90k miles or so on her but i've wanted to move up to a liter bike for the longest time. i'm a relatively conservative rider and torque means a lot to me. in 3 days i've put about 650 miles on the bike...
i joined the 'other' FZ1 forum and was instantly banned for posting a photo in my first thread so i'm hoping this forum is a little different! on that note, i'll wait until my second post for a pic >_>
