I did that to my wheels also but on purpose. I love the look.

I have used them for about two years. Good tires good traction all around. I ride hard front has only slipped once back I can get to slide whenever I want. Getting about 4-5K out of the rear tire and probably double that for the front. I ride a mix of freeway and canyons.
