    First Hand Gun

Hail, with all respect, perhaps your comment needs to be directed at those good folks that are subject to the laws of other nations where the right to ownership of firearms is is determined by a political appointee or minor government bureaucrat. In America, it is a right. Otherwise, it...

    Interesting Statistics

Well, that's not something that I am familiar with at all. Texas is still a Free State and doesn't require me to demonstrate "skills" following any qualifications for certification except for Concealed Handgun Practical requals. I can only guess that it is something devised by the leanings of...

    First Hand Gun

The Glock 19 is probably the best "size" handgun Glock offers but the 9mm Parabellum cartridge is really the minimum to stop a threat. I have given up on the 9mm and won't use any pistol cartridge smaller than .40 S&W. The Glock 23 fits that category. The Beretta 92/M9 is a full size Duty...

Vancouver, BC is the second most congested city in North America

Been there. Done that. Leave downtown Van at 3:15 and cruise out but try leaving at 3:30 and you're in a rolling accordion until after the Port Mann. I had to go on Government business for the first time to the Island and figured on hitting the 401 at 200th Street about 0600 hrs and breezing...

How about using DuPont Teflon Chain Lube? Any potential electrical problems there?

    running on two cylinders, advise?

Are the plug boots snapped firmly in place? How about a coil? I know they are paired but I don't know the pairings. My plugs don't foul but I have stock jetting and my plugs last forever..........or maybe a bit longer.

    C-stand = Crash

I live here in the Texas Hill Country and ride the 3 Sisters regularly. Each of the 3 roads has signs specifically stating that "6 or 8" motorcyclists have died there (on each one) in recent years. I believe there is a member on this board that bounces his bikes over the guard rails regularly...

    Hillside Leather Jacket Review

Go ahead, Pete. Pick on the Harley guys just because they don't have the horsepower to maintain the speed limit. Why don't you pick on the 90cc scooter guys that block the roads too? I sympathize with the Harley people. "Are you ready for the lifestyle"? Are you picking on the Harley...

    Tire Choice ???

Changed out my front Dunlop RoadSmart at 11, 000 miles as I was going on a major ride and rain was forecast. Might have got more out of it. Rear RoadSmart is nearing 14, 000 miles and is due for change but I have Pirelli Angel ST EMS standing by. I'm not part of the "run your tires flat...

    Coolant for my 2006??

Any coolant compatible with aluminum block engines will be identified as a "DEX" product. If it includes the reference to "DEX", you are good to go. Other well meaning references are irrelevant regardless of the vociferous exclamations of their sponsors.

Hotter than hell out there, but...

Heat A few years back, I spent some time in Broken Hill, NSW, Oz and it was over 140 degrees Fahrenheit every day for a week. I think the max was 147. Birds and animals were dying but it was not due to lack of water, it was due to their blood overheating. Thankfully, there was zero humidity.

    Anzac day

Frank, Just between you and me, these folks have supported us and fought in every foreign war we've fought, with 10% of our population. These people are tough and dedicated and from a frontier nation, such as ours. I'd go into a fight with an Aussie at my side without another thought...

    Anzac day

I was at the Canberra War Memorial when they blew "stand fast" and I turned and faced the flag. At attention. To remember and pay tribute to those lost. May God Bless the Aussies for remembering those who gave themselves for others.
