Wow this sucks. If the motorcycle was never issued a title till now it could be sold as new regardless of shipping damage in many states believe it or not. Once a title is issued it would than have to be called used.
I would have walked away as soon as I seen the foot peg work done by buba...
Wow interesting reads here. I'm 52 now so the memory is a little foggy on exact dates.
Let see started riding around 12 on a 1973 on a 50 cc Yamaha.
Around 1974-1975 Dad bought me a Suzuki TS 185 duel sport. Road it on trails all over the small logging town I grew up in the Pacific...
Congratulations! Do let us know how you like it after a little riding
I was just looking at FZ 09 at a area dealer Saturday, they had 5 of them just in. I sure like the idea of the 3 cylinder engine. With the torque the FZ 09 is making for its weight combined with the good gearing it should...
Interesting thread with everyone own unique experience.
My 1st bike was a duel sport 1975 Suzuki TS 185. Bought it new before I had my license so about 70% of my time or so was off road in that bike. My 1st full on street bike was a brand new KZ650 in 1979. Right after I got out of high...
I work at a fairly large manufacturing facility of about 1800 people with over a hundred HD owners at work. All but perhaps five of the HD are BLACK. Must say it is nice to see a HD in any color other than black.
So for about a dozen years every once in a while when i'm in the local Yamaha shop find myself stopping and checking out the TW200. Suddenly in the last week I find myself looking on CL for a TW200. Is it wrong for a 50+ year old guy to want a TW200? No plans to get rid of any of my other bikes...
I'm with Stretch on this.
Usually warped rotors will pulse not vibrate. And it usually take more than .005 runout in a rotor to feel the pulsing. All to often people mistake microscopic brake pad material build up on the rotor for warped rotors. This is true of motorcycles as well as cars...
I usually like my bikes mostly stock, but I had a XT 500 for about 10 years. It was not very good offroad, in fact it could be very spooky at times in the dirt when pushed a little to hard. I like the motard look in that picture. I would think it would be much more enjoyable and useful as a...
It may be, but do not know in this case. For instance my 07 Vette does not use a relay. It uses a module that is essentially a mini computer. It in turns talks to the BCM (Body control module) a larger computer in the car. The BCM also talks to the ECU. Electrical stuff in cars and motorcycles...
Your local Yamaha dealer should be able to order a Yamaha fz1 service manual. They can in the US anyway.
As far as I know there is no aftermarket service manual for the 2nd gen FZ1 like the 1st gen. So the Yamaha factory service manual would be your only choice.
