Do not assume any maintenance was done, let alone competent maintenance. When I bought my 2006 the first thing I did was change fluids. Got 5 quarts of oil out of it and some brown/black coolant. I should have looked more closely and not assumed the maintenance was proper on the bike just...
I would check to make sure your axle didn't move, you didn't strip out the axle alignment screws and the bearings in the swing arm and wheel.
Might be a little overkill, but I rather be safe then sorry.;)

I really don't want to spend more money right not after that tire lol. But that tail light looks awesome. The other issue is I don't know that it will fix the problem.
Picked up my FZ1 yesterday and its been AWESOME.
It is a bit scratched up but seems mechanically perfect. Does need some fluid changes but being a 2006 with 9k miles, I think its normal.
I've been thinking about what I want to do to it, but for right now my only concern is tires.
