    Oil grade question?

W means winter. It's the viscosity at 0c, the other number is the viscosity at 100c. (frozing point / boiling point) If you live in a hot area, the first number doesn't apply. And even if you do, once your engine is warm, it doesn't change anything. Yamaha recommends 10w40, stick with it!

I sold my FZ1 bumble bee today :(

Yeah well... It all comes to the same at the end. Plates are higher and insurances are cheap, in other provinces plates are cheap but insurances are crazy. Government steals our money no matter what

I sold my FZ1 bumble bee today :(

Haha that price is very high... My driving record is still virgin :) Plates here cost the same price for every one, no matter your records. But your personnal insurance... That is another problem...haha My insurance for R6 : 300$/year (1 side covered for others) or 500$/year (1 side...

I sold my FZ1 bumble bee today :(

You said it! I picked my 2003 R6 for about 3000$ last week in Montreal, QC. I had to drive 2 hours (I am from Gatineau, QC) but it was really worth it. 200$ for 2 years?? In Quebec sport bikes are 1100$/year and semi-sport like FZ1 are about 500$... They jumped from 300$ to 1500$ about 5...

Yeah.. It's about the same thing here in Quebec, but when you buy a bike from another province, you have to safety it in Quebec. That was my problem. I bought my R6 from Quebec and no safety is needed.

I sold my FZ1 bumble bee today :(

Well... The safety check didn't pass because of that (which is controled by the government in Quebec) We have to go to special garage registered by them in order to pass safety, they are really stubborn

I sold my FZ1 bumble bee today :(

Buddoggin : I had to put 2 new tires because government said they were finished (they had about 2000km remaining) and a fork rebuilt (one was leaking a LITTLE) and put back a stock licence plate holder... (OEM parts = $$) I plan on using it all summer. I am young and my back is still ok =) I...

I sold my FZ1 bumble bee today :(

Hello everyone, I sold my 2003 bumble bee FZ1 today... It was really hard to get rid of it, but I did the best for me. I had to put about 1000$ in it to pass the stupid safety check so I sold it instead of losing money. I bought a 2003 R6 (I know, it's a full-race bike) and I hope I'll have the...

2003 Fz1 Bumble Bee edition repainting

I would trade it, but for a black fz1 (01-02 made them) If I paint it, I have to repaint gaz tank, front plastic and rear plastic. It's about 4-5 square foot or surface... If anybody has a black (not scratched, perfect condition) fz1 and wants a bumble bee color, PM me!

    lowering and straight handlebars

I don't think so, since Fz1 forks are different from FZ1. It'll touch the gaz tank if you try to fit R1 clips.

    Recomended Fuel?

You're right, premium gasoline is made for higher compression motor that absolutely NEEDs 91+ octane fuel in order to run. The answer is simple : Look in your owners manual, put the fuel they recommend. After all, they are the ones who created your motor... Putting premium fuel in a regular...

    Recomended Fuel?

The lowest one, of course. What is your altitude? The higher you are in altitude, the lower octane you need because the air pressure is reduced. Also, your FZ1 was designed and tuned with regular gas. Look underneath your seat you'll find infos about it. It's useless to put premium fuel...
