Any top-speed or acceleration numbers reported from whoever you had ride this? I think this was quite clearly a joke guys!

I'm a naked Gen 1 rider as well, and much prefer the single round headlight. The problem I found with keeping the original gauges is that, my needles danced everywhere. I rarely knew how fast I was going, or what my engine speed was. I rewired my harness for the R1 gauges, and have loved them...

I don't worry too much about it. When we're moving, I feel it's easier to kinda "bob and weave". I don't worry about the speed too much. I just make sure I'm somewhere near the speed limit.

It happens. Especially considering we have a lot of military bases around here, so a lot of riders are service members, wearing their steel toed boots.

It's weird, because I've always been in California. So it's just so common to me, I can't imagine it NOT being allowed. It only took me a couple weeks of riding to do it. And sure, there's still the people that like to move as CLOSE to me as possible in their lane to block me from splitting...

That's a shame :\ I mean, there's two sides to every story, so who knows what was going on at the other end. But it's kind of disgusting the couldn't figure out how to work it.

Where'd you pick up that headlight? I'd like to get my FZ1 back to stock... but that's taking longer and costing more than I planned, and taking more work. So where'd you pick up the headlight and mounting gear, how much did it cost? Does it plug into the stock harness?

What's your height/weight/build? Just curious cus you said the jacket was a little big on you, I'm trying to see how big it'll be on me.

I'm a newbie rider and need some gear. I'm 6' 4" and 165lbs. So I'd imagine I need a size Large jacket. And Large pants as well. 34" waist w/ a 34" inseam at least. I've got boots coming... buying a fresh helmet too. I'm in Southern California, and I'm riding for mostly pleasure, and a little...

So do you get less PERFORMANCE with premium? Or less mileage? I never thought that premium would be less beneficial...

I snagged a beaten up black fairing off fleabay for $50 shipped.... we'll see how that goes. Also ordered a horn and some spare keys. Anyone have any input on why the gas gauge is always reading FULL? Even when half-empty, or bone dry.... it's always full. I'd imagine the float is off.... but...

I think 50 degrees was what I was riding at the other day when I first took her out. Quite brisk.... And I don't get to ride today, and I am very frustrated. Instead of riding, I'm in an 8-hour math class, making up for last weeks hours as well. BUT, tomorrow I get to ride, and get my permit...
