If your bike has never been rejetted I'd suggest doing so. It will change the whole persona of the bike and cure any "throttle snatch" when gassing up out of the turns. Check out Ivan's site here: Ivan's Performance Products You can find what you need here most probably.

No, you would have to send your ECU over to Ivan's for flashing and then he'll send it back. He may have a place in England that does the flash as well. It's a world of difference when you get it back. You'll be smiling for sure! Check his website. Ivan's Performance Products

Boy, that's about 8,000 miles early to be checking valve clearances. Are you sure it's not a choke/carb issue? Just seems really strange that valves would be out of adjustment at such an early stage. I think the normal valve adjustment is at about 26,000 miles.

That's very nice of you to offer that. I went through this same issue when I owned my Gen1 way back when. Snapped off one bolt and must have spent three days trying to extract it and God knows how many bits as well. I was finally able to drill through and tap the whole with new threads...

That thing was really amazing to see! I've seen rotors on Nascar Cars glow red at certain tracks, but never had seen a rotor on a bike glow like that. I was waiting for a seizure at some point.
