Until the last few years I did ride all winter - I also used to ride to work 5 days a week, but since Pandemic I am remote 2 days a week now. Once I got into my forties I grew tired of riding in the winter when it is dark and in the upper 30's or lower 40's in the morning. This past year I...

Start with finding a head gasket change out video on Youtube, watch it fully and then decide if that looks like something you have the tools for and something you want to try and tackle.
Losing coolant to the engine would also contribute to your original overheating issue since you would have...
You are going to want to start with removing the top end to look for a bad head gasket.
If it were me and I had the time and workbench space I would pull the entire motor out for a job like this.
I have only taken the head off a motorcycle once and that was on a 2-stroke Quad, so way simpler...
oh no... that is horrible, so sorry man. Whomever sold you that bike sold you a major problem they were trying to get rid of....
you have a bad gasket somewhere just dumping coolant into the oil system.
Here is a schematic of all the Carb parts in case you need to replace something:

Yeah I hear ya! I think my Carb Boots will start disintegrating in a few years and need to be replaced, that is when I plan to pull the Carbs off the bike.
I know you don't have the bike anymore, but something I do with my Son's Quad after desert season is over is to run the tank dry, then pull...
I have never disassembled a Carb, but with my sons quad I did remove it and spray carb cleaner all through the thing. Did that on a CRF450 once too. As long as you do not mess with any of the linkage for the sync you should be okay. I would assume pulling the floats for cleaning and putting them...
how often were you cleaning the carbs, and what do you define as cleaning? Full removal and bench clean, or fuel additives?
I bought my 2003 with 37k miles on it and currently have 130k miles on it. I just run the Lucas Oil Carb/Injector Cleaner through a full tank of gas every once in a while...
There are 2 types of Carb Cleaner:
The spray kind designed for direct spray on to the Carb parts - some people use Brake Clean sprays as well.
The Liquid kind designed to go into the gas tank - also called Injector cleaner, fuel treatment, etc. - For this I personally use the Lucas Oil...
Carb Cleaner.
Since I bought my bike at 38k miles(currently at 130K) My carbs have never been off the bike. I run injector/Carb cleaner from Lucas oil in the gasoline every once in a while to keep the ethanol from building up. But yours might be in much worse shape and need to be removed and...
I look forward to seeing what you discover. The extra fuel from the carbs would not necessarily be due to them needing to be cleaned, but more likely due to improper jetting. That means the jets are letting too much fuel into the mixture. Check the plugs when you do the compression test to see...
You confirmed there was gasoline in the oil right?
Check this out:

If I recall correctly you said the bike runs poorly, so it could be that one of your cylinders is not firing and in that case the gas would not...
I have never heard of that happening since the Carbs should be mixing the fuel with air and pumping into the valve at the top of the motor. The piston rings should be keeping the gas in the chamber for the ignition. No Gasoline should be getting to the Oil.
If the piston rings are bad you might...
To me the MT-10 is the third Generation of the FZ1, street fighter with a de-tuned R1 motor.
Lego announced they are making a Technic version of it and it looks amazing.
Have you called the dealer to see what they will offer you for a bike with such major problems?
You might be better off parting it out if you have the room to store it for a while.
