Have the bike apart at the moment and will remove the FCE in a few days. I have been in and cleared them before but it always returns and in some cases doesn't clear it at all.

Hi All, I fancy doing something new this summer.. I have a 2006 Gen2 FZ1S in that gorgeous dark red colour. Sadly the paint is starting to do something a bit strange under the lacquer, like a rippling effect, that twinned with the previous owner having a bag strapped to the back and scratches...

Do you have Ivan's FCE installed? Are there any fault codes showing? Mine does a similar thing with Fault Code 20.

Hi all, Only just seen the replies. The answer is no, the issue is still around. It usually on when the bike is cold. After it warms up I can turn it off and back on and the code will clear. What's the header temp thing all about?

I wish I had gone down this route. I have the Ivan's FCE and it constantly gives me the fault code 20! Never been able to get rid of it, so frustrating and the bike runs badly with it. Although when its warm its fine, as soon as it gets cold the fault comes back.

Here in England a tracker is no good. The government give everyone so many 'human rights' that the police could find the house containing the stolen bike but need a warrant to enter for fear of offending the thiefs..

Well, The fault is back! Infact, the fault returned about 2 weeks after I found the loose connection. The connections are all soldered now so I'm pretty certain that all is well there. Can anyone tell me the exact location of each sensor? From memory I found one of them just behind the...

Mine are actually all soldered so don't know why I get the fault. It's fairly common though, a quick google search proves that. Perhaps I just have a temperamental one, sometimes it doesn't happen and once the engine is warm, the fault usually clears with a quick stop/start. Runs a little rich...

Also on the learning to ride on the left note, when you first set off just follow some cars. Follow each one for 10 mins at a time, turn in to the same bends, follow them off the same roundabout exits etc
