Hi All, I've been quite absent past couple of months from this great forum. Yes I still have the Fazer in my stable, next to my little Black Tiger.
Unfortunately I have not had yet the time to start the front fork conversion on the FZ1 as I was intending to.
Things have been very hectic and...
I discovered my right front suspension seals are leaking on my little black tiger (and this after just 10k km) . I am taking the opportunity to replace the springs (OEM too soft) with Hyperpro Progressive springs and have the cartridge adapted to have a more suitable (for my riding style)...

And on these pictures : I wish you all a very Merry Xmas and a great and safe 2015
Have been cruising and came across this 105mm Selfpropelled Howitzer, called St Barbara. This was taken at the former Belgian military barracks of the 18RA (Artillerie) where I served my army duties
Under warranty TPS has been replaced and mapping refreshed. Also installed "warm" sparkplugs NGK CR8EK. These should improve the way the engine behaves in urban and offroad mode.
Next weeks will attempt to replace myself the tires. Got the Michelin Anakee 3 ready to be mounted. And will order...
The Fazer has been stabled up in my bike - garden shed. Tires put off the ground using front and rear paddockstands. Fueltank full. Battery disconnected and connected up to my batteryguard. The Tiger will soon get new Michelin Anakees and grip heating...
Shame on me. I have neglected the FZ1 forum some time now...More busy with work and easier access on using FB on my Iphone than this forum.
Nevertheless, my very best wishes to you Billy ....
Took her for annual maintenance to the dealer. Now 44k km onthe clock. As I already replaced brake pads and airfilter at 40k, they only replaced oil and filter, sparkplugs. Sync was done and had to tighten up the bearings of the front legs, being doing too much wheelie attempts apparantly :-)...
4 years coming up November 1st
WOW time flies...in less than 3 weeks my twinboys are 4 years young. Before I know it I'll be be looking in my garage for my bikes, who are gone riding out by them boys
overdue maintenance
Well I reckon it was finally time to have a closer look and do some maintenance on my new black little Tiger. She has given me much fun over the past year, both on road as off road. She sendured lots of dirt and some dropps, one flat tire, a bent gear-pedal and now some...
Also my experience on such muddy stretches is the Enduro type tires (such as the Heidenau) are not exactly fit for these type of conditions, you'd need more nobbier tires (cross tires) but then again it is a compromis you need to find...
Question; what type of Ohlins you have there?
ABS was definitely off, but I was braking first on gravel and then ended up braking on grass...which I slipped through and could not avoid tipping over the edge
yes, and that may have saved me if it were on....even on this gravel and grass patch...but you can imagine I not had enough time to switch off/on the engine to reactivate the ABS while trying to get it stopped
:stunta]:
Now I have a problem where the bike upon starting immediately stalls...
offroad fun in Belgium
With some MSF colleagues (SMT990 and Zero SX) we enjoyed a blast during an Offroad day, organized annually by Endurofun.be.
Fulling up before take off
an SMT is hard to ride :-)
first stop, we had a great sunny day
for a picnic
in total 70 riders...
Well done Johnny...I hope to get more days back onthe track with the Fizzer, but balancing time between offroad, streetriding and track is difficult (oops I again forget the family :o )
