When I live in BC had the same thing at high elevations, for sure was jetting. No different than a carb'd sled. Bike is jetted for 3000ft (Calgary), once in some of the passes were your riding at 6000 to 7000 ft it makes a difference.
Now that I am back in Winnipeg which is at 500ft I am...
Another option is to go and get your class one license (or Commerical Drivers license) and drive truck for a few years. After many many miles shutting of your signal will as natural to you as lifting your left foot to change gears. Only draw back is losing the extra weight I put on sitting...
I have used them a few times no issues other than slow delivery. But then again I am in Canada so could have been custom's holding things up.
I just ordered from Xtreme powersports found pricing even better than Parts Shark, but again going on 3 weeks waiting for speed sensor.
Just went though the same thing only bike would also not turn over. I pulled the starter relay as well as starter circuit cut off relay, cleaned connections and applied dielectric grease to everything and no problems since. This started with clock resetting then progressed into clock resetting...
When I lived in Invermere I wished I had a dual sport to compliment my FZ1. But the ride from Banff to Invermere then Golden on the FZ1 is something I could do everyday of my life (cept for snow and rain which have been caught in a few times). What I did to fill my off road void was had a...
Thanks. I like the pic on your profile, here are my 2 wolves (my giant malamute and Anatolin Shepherd / wolf cross). I am fortunate that my wolfs keep me young (force me to get off my ass and walk them) hopefully you are able to keep yours in line and enjoy life.
Battery was bought new beginning of last season. I am thinking maybe that is it as no problems in morning in my garage but when it sits all day (cool temps here now only highs of 10c) it then acts up. Just not even 2 years old was hoping not.
it reads 12.8 volts and even under starting load...
Pulled out the manual and started to check out possible problems. Had to do as it is again starting fine but I am leaning towards the starter circuit cut off relay. What I cannot figure out is the wiring is different on the bike going into relay plugs than manul. It shows to do a resistance...
Well into fall temp's here, for the past week every morning has been 0 to -3 C, cool enough that I am oh soooo happy that I have heated grips. On the plus side it is preparing my body for the up coming snowmobiling season.
Billy that is a great pic, I would luv to have that bike in my garage.
I checked battery terminals last night all good. I will trace the starter power back and check that connection. This all started after my speed sensor quit, I have a new one on order and I know not related but I did pull apart gauge and sensor connections and put dielectric grease on them to...
Mine was stiff then went loose but also out of adjustment. Adjusted and 4 weeks later snapped so rode home no clutch and starting off moving the lever on casing by hand (lots of fun).
I would change the cable with even thinking twice next time it stiffens up. Lvie and learn
Last week started bike after sitting all day at work and wierd the clock had reset to 12:00am, reset and rode no issues for a week. Yesterday went to start bike after work and pushed the start button and nothing. Headlights and gauge lights working but not even a click. Push 2 more times and...
