I have ridden from Wpg to Calgary that was a long ride but was ok. This ride is from Wpg to Grand Junction Colorado and not sure how many days I should plan to get there.
Thinking about going to see some family on the bike, only thing is that trip is 2200 km's one way and not sure how many miles are resonsible to count on in a day?
I have many trips were I am close to 500 km in a day but I would like to try and do closer to 1000 just not sure.
Your input is...
Not to offend but a dump weighing 5lbs means someone was really full of shit! lol Same goes for sledding, had friends spend thousands of dollars to save 10lbs I used to tell them instead of loading 8 beers into your pack bring a micky and you just saved 10lbs.
Run Rotella with no problems. I have riden a few Gen 1's and they all have a clunk when shifting into first from neutral. The lurching forward forsure is not normal and as others have said most likely a miss adjusted clutch.
You should have some free play on the clutch lever about 2/8's to...
Sounds like bad plugs. The only my bike has a miss is when my plugs are in need of a change. Usually the first sign is during the start up, then when riding you get the bogging/miss.
I seem to get about 8,000 miles out of a set.
My Yamaha Nytro sled is also exactly the same, worse thing you...
OK so now on my 4th tank of gas using 87 octane (regular with 10% ethanol) and bike is running fine.
No difference that I can tell in performance and actually a bit although very little better mileage. I can admit that I was wasting my cash running premium for all these years and reason for...
When I say never I am referring to 90% of the time. I do use it very sparingly as needed for corning but if I have to get on the back brake chances are I am coming in too hot and want to drag it slighly to shave off some speed, on a wheelie that is going tooooo good, wet roads and for sure at...
Maybe I am just having bad luck with 87 ethanol fuel around here but there is a difference. Bike would run rough and hesitate, then I would run some sea foam though it and go back to 91 and runs fine. On my sled 2008 Yamaha Nytro you can tell the difference with the sled running better on 87...
Checked the plug at brake lever? Also do you have brake lights when you step on rear brake?
Got mine back from shop a couple of years ago and no brake lights (never use back brake). Checked things out and it was unpluged.
Nice bike.....I am 50 and I have to admit sometimes get these moments were I am thinking sell for something newer....then I go for a ride and come home smiling to Momma. Luv this bike not sure if I would ever sell it just might add another horse to the stable maybe something newer.
Would luv a...
Exactly my ride to work is usually 10 minutes less on the FZ1, I always thought it was just catching all the lights lol...maybe something more to it than that.
Stock is 16/44, I ran 15/47 for 4 years and just found it too low for the amount of highway commuting that I do. I am now running 16/45 and it is great.
This bike has tons of torque anyways so I personally do not feel that I am losing much in the city by gearing up.
Also mileage is up. I...
Actually the only connection I did not check was the white connector, I will take a look today.
Battery is 2 years old.
One thing I did notice was that it seems to be happening on cold mornings (couple of degrees above or below freezing) when I am using my hand warmers.
Could be the draw when...
