    February Bike of the Month -- 2010

    Thankyou very much! :wow: I'd like to thank my Family, my FZ-1 and my pet turtle for pushing me to have the motivation to press the button on the pocket Pentax and for encouraging me to recharge the battery for the next round of photos. Seriously guys! Where are the rest of photos? Does...

    December M.B.O.M

    Too many clicks to get to and quite honestly a nightmare to get sorted the first time. Don't mean to rustle any feathers but I almost gave up the first time and have had to come back once since because I had had too many beers to figure it all out again and gave up in frustration:wilynily...

    November Bike of the Month

    First ever V-tec for Honda. This is the rare CB400SuperFour V-tec SpecII. Really that's the marketed name, imagine the printing costs. 178kg/53hp, 13000rpm ceiling and a vtec system utilizing 2 valves to 6800rpm and then breathing deep on 4 valves from there up. Showa suspension, Nissin brakes...

    How to launch your FZ1?

    As the opposite light turns amber, wind up the throttle steadily to 7000rpm. On green, slip it off the line trying to get the clutch out asap while keeping the revs between 6500-8000 and without 12 o'clocking it. The front should hover. Keep the rear brake covered just in case the nose goes...

    Gen 3 FZ1

    FZ1 Gen3 will need to step it up to keep up with its traditional rivals but it isn't a top of the pile bike. Something like the 2nd child where the YZF-R1 is the 1st born. The 2nd child always gets the hand me downs that are too expensive to buy again or are still usable a few years later...

    What are you favorite gloves for the fall and winter?

    Powerlet heated sport gloves waterproof, screen swiper, heated, carbon hard parts and damn comfy. Took 2 years of zero maintenancs and 3hrs in torrential rain to finally start getting wet inside.

    150hp <--> 100hp

    Did you read my whole post? My comments were to shed light on the subject from Japan and the manufacturer's gentlemans agreement is for the Japanese domestic market only. What of the 9000rpm limiter, altered firing order or extra ECU wire not found on full power models? There is no conspiracy...

    150hp <--> 100hp

    A little light on the subject from the FZ1's mother land JAPAN. There has been, since the late 80's - think GSXR1100 "Widow Maker", a gentlemen's agreement between the transport authority, police and manufacturers to restrict large capacity bikes to 100hp or less after a string of almost...

    Took a little spin through Shizuoka-Gifu - JAPAN

    Final day 380km Woke up early after a cold night. The air was fresh and cool with the doors open which made for good sleeping. Couldn't get back to sleep so went out to take a walk and get some early morning snaps. Our place The streets were empty at 6.30 found a cow shed with...

    August BOM

    It's a proto that rumour has will be carrying the 1200ccV4 for production. A toe in the water sort of thing, will the buying public accept a sporty naked powered by a touring motor? It got a favorable response from me :tup:
