I've been fairly lazy posing anything here, so I guess it time for a little catchup.

I'm still quite liking riding this thing. I have had ideas about getting something else, but nothing really seems to...
I won't be getting a Ivan tune for the simple fact I don't want to be without the bike why the ECU is away.
I have been looking at some headers but still not sure on what to get.
Its all about the cost for benefit now. $3-400 headers or ECU flash for a few HP. Not sure its worth it in the end...
So the MT-10 and I had a meeting today. Yes the thing looks nice. Yes it goes like the clappers. Yes it's got cool electronic stuff. Yes the dash is sexy. Yes it loves being on the back wheel.
Problem for me is its no more powerful than my current bike for every day riding and the big one for...
I've looked at the MT-10. I like the look, but at the moment I don't want to ride it for a few reasons.
1. I want to see what the aftermarket does with it. I think power wise it could be a step backwards from a modded FZ1, so I will wait to see what become aviable.
2. The cost. There...
There is a guy in perth that does them.

My honest opinion is for what its going to cost you over here just buy the FT-ecu kit or for a power commander.
Unless you want to extract every last drop of power from the bike that is.
I've been keeping a record of my usage latley just to see how bad it is.
Best I've got so far is 36 mpg or 7.84 L/100
I know most of it is down to the tune. Its well overdue for a retune now that it has a couple of extra mods. May even look into a autotune to get the cruising tune a little...
Its the Yamaha comfort seat.
Bike is in fairly good condition just the odd little paint chip here and there that is to be expected with a now 6 year old bike I guess.
Most I've got out of mine was 80% highway and got 180km.
I'd say with what you are getting on a stock bike it would be around correct for a melbourne commute.
I've been thinking about stacks also, its either that or engine work from here.
However no matter what route I go down the return on investment will be tiny.
