100% agree with Satan666.
I've wired a switch to the relay under the seat and mounted the switch in the right side pod just behind my butt.
I'll take some pics this weekend and post them early next week.
For now see attached showing where the switch is mounted on mine (you can't actually see...
Sorry for the slow reply, most people only pop in every couple weeks these days.
There is a comms wire from the ECU to the dash (yellow / blue).
If it breaks you get the same symptoms that you have described.
Bike will run fine, but you get errors and a loss of dash info...
There is a joint...
Very nice naked conversion.
Is that ceramic coating on the pipes?
I've considered doing it myself, just not sure what the finish would be like.
Looks great, thanks for sharing.

Hi Guys,
Just FYI, you can send a shock, you just need to declare it.
I have attached the form that came with the shock I recieved from the US recently.
Cheers,
Mac.
Hi all,
I have a 2015 R1 shock with 1000k's on it for sale.
I weigh too much for it. (I'm 100kg + gear)
I was going to change spring and maybe re-valve, but have been advised I'd probably spend more trying to get it right as I would on a new aftermarket...
The shock bolts in, no mods to bike...
Can you give some details of the flash?
What parameters where set / changed?
example - removed the restrictions, eliminated the fuel cutoff, lowered the fan activation temp
What bike setup is it set for?
Modded air box, Slip-on etc.
I'm in Aus, but definitely interested if...
Welcome Jim,
Great bike, great forum with very helpful members.
Live to ride, and enjoy every minute.
We would love to see some pics of your ride.
Cheers,
Mac.
Hey roundhouse,
I ran a Dan Moto for 12 months/25,000 k's
I liked it, but it was a bit wild in the high rpms.
I also burnt it out! (scorched the carbon fibre)
I have recently installed a Leo Vince and it's so much nicer, both to look at and the sound quality.
They sound the same at...
Is the Two Brothers Slip-on still available?
Could you post some pics to show condition?
Are you willing to package and send to Australia? (obviously I would pay postage)
Cheers,
Mac.
Fork is definitely 60mm Dia. with taper to 50 at the top.
Thanks Dicko for confirming this.
I am trying to mount the damper under the triple in front of the radiator (see pics).
I believe the mount I bought is designed this way.
This part of the fork is still 60mm.
Haven't heard from...
Thanks for that.
It seems the Aus model and the US model are different!
I wonder why Yamaha would do that??
If anyone with a non-US model could give the measurements of their forks, I would appreciate it.
cheers,
Mac.
Thanks for that.
Are your forks the same Dia. for the whole length?
Mine are 60mm for most, then taper down to 50mm at the top.
see attached pic.
Blanchy, could you post some pics of your forks please.
I'm still keen to hear from others around the world with a 2013 model.
Thanks...
I guess it's possible, is the Gen I fork 50mm???
Here is the link to what I bought:
Steering Damper Bracket Mount YAMAHA FZ1 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 | eBay
It states all years of Gen II (2006 - 2013).
I'm hopeful they will replace the part, just need to convince...
Hi All,
Can anyone with a 2013 model tell me what fork diameter you have?
Mine are 60mm Dia for most of the fork length (they do taper down at the top).
I have purchased a steering damper mount from ebay and the fork clamp is 50mm.
The ebay seller is claiming the 50mm bracket fits the...
I do, sorry it's taken so long.
I have approx. 3000 km on the RSIII rear (I have a sportsmart front).
I am very happy with it so far, the grip is excellent from cold and it doesn't take long to heat up.
I have mostly ridden to/from work, with a couple of weekend rides in the mountains...
