Installed some rizoma parts
I just received a set of levers and frame plugs!
Love how the red adjusters match the other little bits of red on the bike.
(slip on logo, ducati logo on the front wheel, brembo, red stitching on the seat)
old levers in the boxes, didnt have time...
Wish maisto or some other company would make one.
I have two different maisto diavel die casts, and they are pretty good quality wise.
From a distance the fazer looks ok. Not so much up close
Great thread!
Weight has the one of the biggest hits when it comes to a bikes performance and that motivated me to lose a lot of weight.
At my largest I was 118kg (260lb)
Right now im closer to 80kg (176lb)
which is the "right" weight for my size/height (180cm)(5.9)
I lost weight...
I agree, its not a very attractive design.
But like I said, at this point its far from final.
Right now the best looking Sports tourer is the Kawi Ninja 1000. (not just my opinion i bet)
Performance wise its also what the next gen Fazer needs to be.
Cant believe i missed this before, but here is a shot of what could be the next Fazer.
Its basically the same engine as the MT09/FZ09, with fairing.
And it does say "CG" in the pic so it could be a mock up of what they think it will look like.
An extra $1500 for the Fazer varient...
Ok, one bit of interesting news is the FZ09 will be called MT09 in Japan and sold for about $8500. Its also 850cc.
And its being compared to the new Honda CB650F (also new)
Right now it looks like they are gonna use that new 3 cylinder in everything!
Im gonna hunt down that "Young Machine" magazine and post pics on here. (if i find it)
Im sure more info will be out soon.
Honda recently added a lot of new machines to their line up, its about time for Yamaha too...
Fueling is always going to be an issue mainly because makers are always trying to give new bikes better mileage.
Only way to do this is:
1. Make the bike more efficient
2. cut the amount of fuel required to run
3. restrict the bike in terms of speed, power and torque.
This makes all new...
Yea it's a good review. Looking forward to trying out the bike!
Hope they do something good with the new FZ1 too.
Not sure if a 3 cylinder engine would work for a sports tourer, but the Street and Speed Tripple are good bikes.
I suppose the fz9 and fz1 could be comparable.
I would imagine the current pics released of the FZ9 are the street version.
The touring Fazer version will come later with a different set up/fairing.
Im sure it will look a lot better.
As for the FZ1/Fazer being Fazed out, I frakin hope not!
Pretty sure they are working (from...
Yeah, costs twice as much but its not twice the bike to be honest :D
It does (on paper) have everything a modern bike should.
ABS, DTS, All LED, 170hp (after mods)
Also feel I need to mention Tune Boy. Thanks to them I was able to remap the ECU directly and make the bike full power. Also...
2014 Yamaha FZ-09 | First Look - Motorcyclist magazine
Some big changes coming in the next few years, mainly the 3 Cylinder Cross Plane crank.
Once the new R1 is announced, we will get some idea of what the next gen FZ1 will look like engine wise.
After that we can hope to see a design...
I found out that we cant change the ECU because the keys are paired to each ECU. (for the immobilizer)
BUT i have found out that by doing the same thing they do in France, (ground the 19th wire in the ECU and set the ECU to full power) you can change a JP FZ1 to full power.
Will be trying...
Ok thanks, so there are some gains as long as i re-tune the PC3.
How about the header/slip on question?
Will my existing TRC slip on fit with the TRC header?
Just wondering if the Full System differs from the slip on.
Hey guys, Im currently using the TRC slip on with a gutted header. (and PC3)
Was wondering if I could buy the TRC header to go with my slip on? Do they fit or is the full TRC system different from the slip on?
Also, is it worth doing that? (ie, would I loose weight/gain performance?)
