could you not go down the belt/braces route with hi-viz? you can wear what ever jacket you like and pop them over the top.
on the bright side at least in 3 1/2yrs time you can ditch the hi-viz unlike the french. tis compulsory for them now on any machine 125 and over...poor sods
guys the point im trying to clarify is this: where does the figure quoted relate to?
does it relate to a machine conversion to crank figure or at the rear wheel figure?
I know some of you may think im being a pain and possibly tryin to cause an argument, but Im not.
if you look at one...
i agree with the need to use the same machine for consistant result, Im not a dyno expert but i do know that if similar results are achieved on 2 different machines then it can be taken that the claimed output is pretty much as stated lol.
to go back to the topic, the question i originally...
id be a damn more out of pocket! labour rates are about £50p/h here if you want a decent job done, and knowing how long it took me to do all the work in zero/sub zero temps, i guess i could add about another £200/300
id love to charge the bike hire for daytona, but, i cut my card up just so...
not necessarily, a dyno can measure at crank, box or wheel and show a reading for either on the display
to take things a little further, The Uk spec runs 150bhp at the crank standard so to achieve 150+ at the rear wheel means roughly 170+bhp at the crank , 20bhp+ is a hell of an increase for...
id be interested to see if thats at wheel or crank....
I did the full decat, beowulf end can (sans db killer), lars airbox mod, K&N filter, o2 elimanator, pcIII with a Lars map and saw 146.9 rwhp. on 2 different dynos, one a fuchs the other a dynojet there was very little difference, about...
damn thats way more wiring than came in my kit! i has no connection to battery terminals, all done via the original lighting plug to the bulb, so the amount of loom i had to loose was minimal, and on a naked thats a good thing lol.
tis a damn good mod to do tho! Im loving mine big time:yes:
had my generator rotor munch on its magnets a couple of weeks back... 24k miles on the clock.... I'd strongly recommend anyone having this problem and doing it themselves, to strip off the sump and clean it out, just taking the sump plug out isnt enough, the amount of debris i pulled out of my...
I had the same problem with seeing more of my arm/shoulder than whats behind with the stock mirrors. I tried a set of bar end mirrors and tbh the rear field of vison is much better with bar ends than standard... looks better too! Had to change the bar ends/weights tho as standard are tapered and...
I did indeed, the improvement is great, the spread pattern is the same, but the difference is very noticeable in the amount of "visible" light. the makers claim a 300% improvement, and i certainly agree with their claim. Im using a 5000k bulb in the headlught and no melt down of the lens or...
am in need of a generator rotor assembly for my Gen II FZ1. If anyone can help me with this I'd be pretty grateful as im getting withdrawl symptoms already. Id prefer a UK supplied one as times are hard..
I've attached a pic to help in indentifying the part I'm after.
Thanks in advance if...
Hi guys, I recently carried out an HID conversion on my FZ1N, the difference it makes is incredible, but i have one small niggling issue.....
When the bike is running and I switch between dip and main there is a delay of about 1-2 seconds when there bulb goes out, before it lights up again...
thanks for responding guys:tup:. Saved me the hassle of stripping bits off then throwing my toys out the pram when it didnt fit. Guess that sprocket will be heading to an ebay listing then lol
Hi guys, whilst rummaging through my "Aladins Cave" (read shed) i came across a brand new 16t front sprocket for an FZ6 S2 and was wondering if it would fit my FZ1 N... I'm sure someone out there will know the answer to this and save me the grief of whipping off the covers and existing sprocket...
i've seen 171mph (275.19 Kph) on my speedo..............admittedly it was on a dyno, no way i could hang on to it with my diminutive stature at the speed...was bad enough at 151mph (243kph)!
If I were you I'd try to get her to visit the famed Ace Cafe in order to bring you back a special souvenir, a t-shirt or a mug for example. From the point of view with Brit biking history its a must visit for anyone with an interest in bikes

I finally got some dyno time today to see what my little beauty is running after the mods I did to it. Now bear in mind it has done 21k miles and is due a service pretty much now. All the mods I did I took inspiration from the threads so very well posted and worded by you guys on here. The pc3...
