I have managed to put a small tear in my gel seat.
Does anyone know the best way to repair this kind of damage. I don't mind if it's a patch, anything would be better than my temporary solution.
Thanks!!
I agree OldBiker, MM didn't win because VR and JL crashed. He won because he was the best rider on the day. I don't like seeing guys crash but it does remind us how close to the edge these guys push it which adds to the excitement. These guys have been fighting hard all season and MM kept it...
I use the iridium CR9EIX plugs. NGK reckon they're good for 60,000km. They're a bit more expensive but given their service life means that you only have to replace them half as often make them a bargain in my opinion.
Hi Chameleon, sorry but I'm not an expert on the oil level switch. You could remove and clean it, but I would suspect that it is a non serviceable item and if faulty would require replacement. The part you need is 5VY-85720-00-00. PartShark have them.
Maybe someone else can give you some...
Double check to make sure when you replaced the plugs you reconnected the correct ignition leads to the correct spark plugs. I apologise in advance if it sounds like I'm telling you how to suck eggs but sometimes the most simple and obvious things get overlooked.
I think you'll find the oil level switch is located in the oil pan just behind the sump plug.
The FZ1 oil light is know to sometimes come on even when there is sufficient oil in the sump. However if it does come on definitely stop and check the sight glass first.
Kpd1031, I don't think...
I'm not sure but as you live in beautiful California I'm guessing it's part of the California only emission control system. If I'm correct the pipe and roll over valve assembly you're holding in the photo should be connected to a charcoal canister to stop fuel vapor venting to the atmosphere.
Fisherman thanks for your concern but dschult2 is correct. NGK recommend two plugs for the FZ1. The standard CR9EK and the Iridium CR9EIX.
The Iridium has a small centre electrode and single outer electrode.
NGK claim a service life of 60,000km.
I had the CR9EIX's installed at 20,000km...
I'm not sure how you guys do it. I had to remove the radiator and I still found it difficult to remove and replace the ignition coil assemblies. The No 3 was particularly hard to get back on and seat properly. If the radiator was in place, even loosened, I don't think I could have done it...
Great race. I agree with Ballmead, Miller has really picked up his game. Too move up 10 places on the first lap is amazing. He left his tyre change too late but a 7th place is still very credible. But what has happened to Lorenzo?? The last 4 races have been a disaster, almost like he's not even...
Hi Banzai, I have the parts you need. I replaced my foot pegs after they got ground down a little.
As you have found the only come as a complete set but it is very easy to grind the pin off and have an alternate attachment.
So I have the parts you need left over. Just pop me a PM and I'll...
