Everything is always personal opinion. I think it is great that companies keep giving us options. I like how they look under the seat, but not really into the way they wrap around the chain... just my opinion. Very cool to have something different than everybody else.
I have CRG Arrow mirrors and the quality is top notch. I used special bar ends to mount them (I think I detailed it in my build thread). Every time I've ever mixed LED lights on a bike it increases the flash rate, but you can find inexpensive inline solutions.
I love mine. I've been running the P1X tip, but since I started wearing ear plugs to tame the wind I'm going to pull it out and let it breathe. I'll still keep it in case I do track days and they flag me for noise, I can just put it back on.
Also for those interested in his bags, if you go with a carbon fiber slip on you shouldn't have any problems. I have the same bags for my bike (see my album) and have never had any issues (even loaded down at speeds in excess of 150 - not recommended though).
Thanks for the compliments fellers. I really enjoy my FZ1... the best all around bike I've ever owned. I run my smuggler setup all the time though (the retro cowl and stock rear seat sit in the garage).
I think the 250 ninjas are the best starter bikes for anybody - guy or gal. You can find them cheap (if it was dumped and has some cosmetic issues even better deal) and you can get your money back. I bought my wife an 07 250 ninja for $1500 (never dumped and less than 1000 miles on it). It...
In addition to what you did with pipe and filter, I did some of the air mods I found on related sites and I gutted the cat. Mine doesn't pop or have any performance issues at all. There is a wealth of info from guys on this site and you will be able to find some better info in the performance...
This was the logo I created for my bike stickers and the cartoon I created of my bike. I've created logos for over 30 years and am willing to do something if you want. LAZ
Congrats on the bike. I can see you are already reaping the benefits of joining this forum. The guys here are great and they give a variety of tips that you can choose from to make your bike the way you want it.
The other option is to sign up as a corner worker. I went to Laguna Seca the first year they came back to the US (2005) and worked the top of turn 9 so I could see the cork screw, 9, and 10. The cool part was we got free camping, food and drink provided, full pit access, and at the end of it...
I've owned a Triumph Sprint, VFR, and now multiple FZ1's. I think the FZ1 is the best by far, but that is just my opinion. Rider height, weight, riding styles, and taste varies and make up what each of will like the best. I think the FZ1 is the best in this class. If I decide were going to...
One of the main reasons I bought these was comfort and the way they minimize vibration. I've been on much longer rides than 50 miles with them and was very pleased. I would put them on again without hesitation.
LOL. I am really pleased, I've gone as far with it as I plan to go for a while. I did a lot of reading before I started ordering stuff for it. This site and the guys on it have been great.
