I bought my FZ-1 in late 2010. I sold her last Nov (2021). The owner texted me about oil change intervals just out of the blue and I asked him how he liked her. He said he had bought a Kawi Connie and was going to sell her, I told him that I would buy her back and will close the deal this...
You may have a small throttle snatch, however it is overexaggerated by most reviewers. It can be a little annoying but it certainly isn't dangerous and should not cause you to do a wheelie. There is a lot of power from the engine, so a small twist in the throttle will give a large acceleration...
+1 on the ugly part. I hope the Japanese move away from the transformer, Lego styling. It is an impressive bike but it one of the ugliest bikes that I have seen and certainly the ugliest streetfighter.
What temps are your bikes at after you ride awhile and the bike is in traffic? My bike is running just over 200, @203 in traffic at ambient temps in the 80's.
I agree on the above comments about Suzuki being late to the game as well as the build quality compared to Yam and Honda. However, I personally like the direction that Zook is going with this. There were four things that I was hoping for in the next gen FZ-1 (which looks to never be built), less...
Agreed! It's disapointing to see a small "David" not make it in the world of "Goliaths". You would like to see people like Erik succeed. Having said that, as a consumer, his bikes didn't meet mine and a lot of others "value proposition". For the money, you could do better.
Get a $1500 Skully and tell us how you like that gadget hat. Seriously, I have a Shoei 1100 and a Shoei Quest. The Quest fits better, is more quiet and I flat out love it.
Delta, do you work for Bridgestone? Man you sound like and ad. But wtf, you have convinced me. T30s are my next. I just changed out my rear to another PR2 that I had but with the $40 rebate. I think I might put a couple in the Garage for the next change out.
Uhhh, that is what is called a paid endorsement. I am sure that Ron would hail the merits of a Michelin, Dunlop, etc. if they were supplying him tires for hi school. What I want to know is the longevity of the T-30. The PR2s and 3s gave me about 12k miles on the front and 8-9 on the rear. The...
Looking at both tires, I do agree about the looks of the PR3 and 4. I don't like em. I actually run PR2s on my bike (I have had 3s but not 4s). The 3s cupped (wore irregular) due to the sipes. The T30 is a lot less expensive and BRIDGSTONE IS GIVING $40 REBATE until Sept 30th. I think I may run...
Trust me, I use the duffy too. The V35s fit an R1100 helmet and the tail bag (I can't remember the size) holds another helmet. Packing, no matter how it is done on a bike, has to be well planned and laid out correctly. The hard bags just allow more and lockable storage. Many times I have had all...
