i agree with ozzieboy, i have used these tyres on my old busa and they just didn't seem right. on the track loved it, but general cold or wet riding didn't like to retain heat and wasn't predictable in how they grip or slip. IMO there are better tyres for the same $. I guess it depends on your...
that is handy to know. was soo much easier gettin bits for my old busa than the fz, but i like riding it more.im tryin to track down a clear clutch cover and a few other bits as well. lol
before u play around too much i would still check to see if there is an air leak?, something i always do when playing with intakes. get some aerostart or similar stuff have the bike running and give it a spray near the carbs, if it instantly idles higher u have a leak.
hmm might be a good tyre here in aus, we have had over 200mm of rain in 48 hrs. i have the pr2's on mine and have no complaints. well except that they get too hot and chunk up
ok so we know that the fz1 and R1 do share some parts eg motor ( retuned) and brake calipers, my question for myself and anyone else who cares enough to wonder.... what is or could be swapped over from an R1 to our beloved FZ1's? i ask aswell because i have always ridden suzuki's my last one was...
u guys must get dif compounds or something, bridgies we get here seem to do nothing but slide lol, not that it isn't a bad thing at times lol. damn they are cheap too
damn mate if you tried to ride that here is Aus with that solid set up i think it would eventually come out ur mouth. hope all gets better keep us posted as i for one am curious to see what shock/spring combo/rates u chose.
