Selling my 2006 Yamaha FZ1! $3300
I've had the bike since 2012 and it rides great! No crashes/damage, great power, great suspension!
Front tire has probably 500 miles on it, rear is still in good shape.
Mods:
Yoshimura full exhaust system
Frame sliders
R6 front forks with calipers...
Yep, Rotella here too! I just paid $38 bucks for full Synthetic Rotella, K&N oil filter and a Progrip tank protector thing that included shipping to Hawaii!
I second 434Racer.com. They are about $55 shipped and you can get custom sets, i.e. if you need a brake lever for an R6, and a clutch from a FZ1 you can do that for no extra charge. There are a lot of riders on the SVRider.com forum that use them and I've only ever heard good things about them.
I think the max clicks for my shock was 14, and I just did some more turning and was able to turn it 20 in one direction. I think it's kaput.
I really want to get the R1 shock and adapter, and I would hate to throw $50 at another stock shock, but it looks like that is what I am going to have...
Hey all,
I think I destroyed my rear shock by messing up my rebound dampening screw so I am looking for a replacement. I'm interested in stock or aftermarket, so if you have something lying around or are looking to sell your Penske, Ohlins, etc, please let me know!
I had one on order, but after a month of waiting I cancelled it. I figured I would save myself $500 on the R1 setup. Unfortunately, Satan isn't going to put in another adapter order for about three months.
I've spun it in both directions and it just clicks and spins. Should I notice it...
Hey all,
So I was trying to adjust the rebound damping on my 2006 and I think I might have broken the shock. I used my screwdriver to turn it all the way to the right, but wasn't sure if it should stop or if I should keep going, so....I kept going. Well, long story short, the screw just spins...
Me too, which is why I went with the 434Racer.com levers. :P
Loads of riders using them and they all have great reviews:

So, after rethinking it, you could buy a set for $50 and have about...
Not sure where 434Racer.com gets their levers but it could be American-sourced as well. As far as the warranty goes, I would have to break my lever twice to be a benefit.
Why spend $130 on refurbished levers when you could have two sets of new ones? The levers I got from 434Racer.com are solid pieces and I can't understand why anyone would essentially the same thing for double the cost. Is this just one of those brand preference type things?
Not sure if anyone else is running these for their FZ1, but tons of people are using them on their SV650's.

You could get two sets of these for the price of one ASV set. :P
Check these out! I have a set and love them, top quality and you can order one long/one short, two long, two short, one lever from one bike, one from another (for custom brake setups), etc.

From what I have seen many who are using this say it is well worth it. I saw one response today that said something about it being bar none the best money they spent on the bike.
Here are some comments on the swap:
"Try the R1 shock with Satan666's adapter. I have it on mine. My bike...
You will need the R1 shock, Satan's adapter, and the upper clevis/dogbone/bolt.
Prices for R1 shocks vary, but it looks like most used ones are about $35-75. They may or may not come with the clevis/bolt/dogbone, and if you have to buy that piece also it runs about $20 (EDIT: SHOULD BE FREE...
Group Buy for Satan666's 2Gen R1 Shock Adapter - $75 - NEED 6 MORE!
Hey all,
I just canceled the order for my Penske and I want to get the R1 setup on my bike ASAP. I talked to Satan666 about his R1 shock adapter, however he said he sold the last one this weekend. I want to get this part...
Thanks for the picture! That's what my replacement looks like, but it's not what I need. After talking with the previous owner (Hellgate), it looks like the MC/lever setup is actually from an '08 R6R. :)
