I'm 6'1" and have heard taller FZ1 riders are having good results with Motech handlebar risers. Have any of you first hand experience with these risers and do they help? PEACE :stunta]: SAFE
I love the 2013 FZ1 I bought...it's perfect for puttin' around the backroads and I'd buy another one. I still own the B-King I bought new in late 2010 and when my wife and I go down the coast to Big Sur we use it. It's a bit bigger/torque'er than the FZ1 and seems a bit more user friendly riding...
I've dialed the 'stock' system in as best as I can, and have only changed to the same 190 55 17 I use on my B-King. My FZ1 seems more than able to hang with the folks I ride with on the weekends...to push it any faster on the public roads is a risk to others as well as myself. I set the bike up...
dittos...I recently got a 2013 and love the way it handles through the twisties (99% of my riding is along the backroads). I'm 6'1" and the bike has more power than I'll ever use. To compare it to my B-King or Road Warrior is not a valid comparison as all three are different enough to stand on...
If I can I'll always take the backroads if I can avoid freeways...so my tires wear more evenly. So far the '55' has made the FZ1 happier through the twisties (happier is a highly technical term). I have a friend that has a Suzuki B-King and went from the 200 50 17 to the 190 55 17 and loves the...
Many forum members have attested to the improved handling they've experienced going to a 190 55 17 rear tire...I'll have add my 2 cents and say they were right...99% of my riding is backroad (Santa Cruz Mountains and Hwy 25) and the improvement is :sport12: noticeable...PEACE :rmwl: SAFE
I recently purchased a new FZ1 and wanted to use the same oil I'm using in my Road Warrior (Motul 5100 semi-synthetic in the 15-50 or 10-40 weight). I change oil about every 2500 mi and live in the Monterey/Santa Cruz area. 99% of my riding is just puttin' around the backroads. Any thoughts?
