New stable-mate for my FZ1sc
I just came back from test riding an '05 SV1000s.... twins are so much fun to ride....so I bought it;)
Easy to ride, very tame compared to the Fizzer and fairly comfy (begs for Dirt road seat and MX bar conversion), will make a good first bike for my son who is...
Put a fresh gasket and make sure there isn't any paint where the gasket seats, or it will leak for sure. Gasoline will slowly dilute most gasket making compounds and automotive paints.
Hope that helps
It sounds like it is running super lean. Take the PC5 out of the equation and see if things improve. I had similar issues when i used the wrong usb cable to make changes in the PC5 .. I re-did the firmware set-up with the proper cable and it all went away.

Thanx Lonney!
The rotors do make the sprocket look tiny... it's only 4 teeth lees than stock.
I have so much torque, now, that I can get away with a 17/41 ratio
The Beast is back at the tuner's...should have it back tomorrow:sinister:
Birthday is just around the corner and I just had to spoil myself, so I got myself some EBC wavy discs and a new 41 tooth rear sprocket to bring the RPMs (and fuel consumption) down at highway speeds.
I am considering an f-glass replacement for that reason and cost.
Keep in mind that there is a quite a difference in airflow between riding and a dyno blower. I doubt I will be holding the redline for more than a few seconds at a time on the street.
180+hp 84ft/lbs baseline , then it lost power :(
I found the reason, yesterday... the throttle bodies had popped off the boots and were probably leaking prior to that. (hence the 180hp) going back to the tuner on monday
As a precaution, I will strap the plenum down.
Ive been riding it as is...
Due to a series of events, I won't be able to make it....but will be with you guys in spirit.
I am looking forward to the stories and pics.
Keep the rubber down :)

Sounds like you have LED indicators that don't have a load resistor connected, on the side that flashes rapidly. I replaced the flasher module with an electronic unit that does not rely on the load to give your indicators a legal flash rate.

Yessir, the bike is running, but still requires some tuning/experimenting. Receiving the "kit" 4 weeks later than expected, and the never ending winter + crazy o-t at work, put me behind schedule.
I also bought the house I was renting. (those are my excuses and I am sticking to the script)...
