Just curious Eric, how often do you have to rebuild the stabilizer, and how hard is it to get the parts (Gasket/Oil)?

From the guys themselves... (I've had it for 2 full seasons) I'm going to try and source an O-ring here.

How often should I get my GPR Stabilizer serviced?

We recommend you send in your damper once a season, just as you would with your forks or shock. With frequent use, you may need to send it in more often. Like your suspension, there is no set time frame on when you will need to replace your seals. Some of our dampers have been out there 3-4 years with no fluid or seal change. It stands to reason that if it's not broken, don't fix it. Once you get used to your damper, you will know when it's time to send it in for service.

Keeps us posted when you get started. Like to know how you go cleaning up the bottom of your headers. Had mine off the other day and gave up. Tried a dremmel with cutting compound to no effect. Weather looked good for riding so they went back on. PS Got some Smoke flush front turns if you want them.

Yep will do. I'll take lots of pics too...
Ah thanks for the offer, but I'm looking at some clear ones...

I'm going to try some of this on the bottom of the headers

No it's for everyone. Go for it John! Whats next for your bike?

Great idea! Might actually nail my foot to the ground and make me do some of the things I have ready to go.

Parts ready to fit:
All new coolant hoses, pipes etc
R1 master rebuild
Get PR2s on the touring wheels
New horn/s
Switch from the Garmin sp2610 to the z550
Techspec tank grip
LED indicators for the headlights
Fit fresher rear shock. Might wait a bit on that one.

To acquire and do:
New chain and front sprocket. Already got a rear

I have to many to list. The most pressing are regreasing the steering bearings again, probably should get a new front tire soon, and I've been meaning to change the fluid in the forks but need to get a spring tool first.

Ok, well in that case....

My next mod is black 2008 R1 forks with reworked valving.

A bit softer on initial damping and sporty in the midrange.

I should have them fitted up tomorrow with a ride report to follow soon.
