Nice vids! What a great place to ride!

It looks like you took Youtube's suggestion of "Let us smooth out your video for you!" When you do that, your video gets ripples or distortion. I recommend to never use their suggestion for that. I've yet to see an example where their 'smoothing' actually helps. (FYI)

You should see the before! I rushed my mounting so the vids are a bit bouncy. I got a new cam so I need to work on that and securing my HID ballast so they don't rattle so much.

no, we just rode up for the day. I can get there in about 3 hours depending which way I go.

Use VLC Media Player, it's a free download, and just clip the best 45 seconds from each. YouTube also has an editor.

I think it's pre-installed in ubuntu. It's not lack of knowledge but desire that prevents me from editing. Thanks for the tip though.
