No external mic needed. The wind screen is doing it's job.

Just position your camera just above and behind the windscreen. The windscreen creates a bubble of calm air in that area. Even when attached to the bike down low, it creates enough wind brake to give decent sound. If I mount it to my helmet, it's terrible.
