At idle, it sounds lumpy

Well I'm very happy with the 05, but theres something, being new to this bike or anyone with an R1 for comparison of these motors I'll just have to ask you guys that have lived with the FZ1 for a while.At idle the motor sounds like the 'cam' has a bit of 'athority going on. It's lumpy, not missing lumpy, but that kind that comes from most hi-po cams. In other words, it's not that sewing-machine smooth, but mor'a mild ba dump, ba dump, ba dump, crackely I guess you'd say, is this the beast? or a bad sync on the carbs? It has a can (Delkevic long) and has been jetted by the Yamaha shop. It runs like a raped ape otherwise with the 8,000 loft in first, and otherwise flat hauls.
 
I agree Check the carbs and get them synced. The sound does change with the exhaust change and when i changed mine it caused just enough of a change that I had to re-sync my carbs and it sounds good. Still louder than stock but smoother if that helps at all.
