Battery tender lead connected to battery (battery in bike and + - leads still connected).
With my ignition off,i plug my charger (switched off at mains) into the tender lead and my imobilizer light stops blinking.
Switch charger on at mains and imobilizer light remains off while charging is under way (or as long as the charger is connected).
Once i diconnect the charger from the battery tender lead the imobilizer light will come back on...eventually (it takes a good few minutes sometimes).
The charger is a 12V 2.5amp unit and the tender lead has a 7amp fuse on it.
What could be causing this and do you think it would be causing any grief to my electrical system/ecu?
The battery is being maintained in top condition so the charger is working fine...i just have this imobilizer light thing happening.
The bike still starts and runs fine after the above scenario.
Maybe i should remove the negative lead from the battery while charging?
