Clutch Bite

Is the clutch bite adjustable on the generation 2 model (2010) as at present it’s very close to the handle bar. You only have to move it a couple of mm before it starts to bite.
Thanks

Yes I have already reset the cable adjustment, but it has not changed the bite which is virtually mm away from the lever being pulled right in.
(It’s very off putting )

Did you adjust the locknut by the lever? Or did you also lift the tank and adjust the locknut inside as well? If you adjusted both and are still having issues....Sounds like it could be stretched and in need of replacement.

Adjusting the clutch cable will only change the free play in the lever.

If I am reading your question correctly, you are saying that the free play at the bar is adjusted like in the link that bigboyz12000 provided, but you have to pull the clutch all the way to the bar to fully disengage the clutch to put it in gear, and when letting the clutch out, it starts to engage (bike starts moving) with the lever very close to the bar. Is that correct?

Is this situation new? Has it always been this way, or has the clutch been recently replaced? When a clutch is worn and is close to needing replaced, the point of engagement will typically be near the end of the lever travel.
