Hi. I’m new here. I have a 2008 fz1. The fuel pipe is kinked. Does anyone know the actual internal diameter of the fuel pipe as I’ve read on here both 6mm and 8mm so a little confused.

It is 8mm. I rebuilt mine after the original line kinked using 8mm fuel injection hose several years ago and it is still working great.

Thanks for getting back to me. Changed the kinked hose with 8mm I’d pipe. Bike has much more urgency down low. Glad I’d did it and it cost a fraction of what my local workshop ( they are great and I trust them) were going to charge.

So I was getting ready to swap the line on my 08 it's kinked but not causing issues yet, everything else I read said 6mm... Do you think it would be an issue if I went with the 6mm? Or should I just send back the fuel line and get the 8mm (5/16) id fuel hose...?

I have made hoses with 6 mm and it is much harder to push the connector barbs in but it can be done. 8 mm (5/16") is actually the correct size.
