I`m just wondering how close is the fz-8 tailsection to the fz-1 ? In my opinion it looks pretty clean and I am trying to figure out what it would take to convert . thanks , Mark
 
Well, no site has a parts fiche up for the FZ8 yet. But, it is my understanding that the FZ8 uses the same frame, sub-frame and swing arm as the FZ1, thus it is highly likely that it has the same mount points to the sub-frame. You would need the seats and latches as well as all accompanying parts as those are all different than the FZ1 though. The ideal situation would be to find one of these new FZ8s that was wrecked with a frontal collision and have them unbolt the entire sub-frame and buy it as one unit. :D

I know why you ask and I would LOVE to swap mine out too! :D
 
I second what Eric said. I see no reason why it wouldn't work on the FZ1. It's just a matter of finding out exactly what parts are needed.
