Anyone used any of the e bay strap on gel seat cushions ..stock seat is hard on my ass...

My buddy in Fairbanks, AK that i bought the bike from bought the gel seat, he liked it. That seat without it was terrible. I took it to the upholstery shop here in Kenai, AK he said the foam was shaved down 1/2 inch or more. Better now, no gel seat needed

e bay sells the strap on cushion, just wanted to know if anyone else has tried this, the replacement full gel seat is a bit to much for me$$$$
