Gen II side covers?

I'm reincarnating my FZ1-S as a streetfighter and I refuse to pay hundreds of dollars for original naked version radiator side covers. I' have been searching for aftermarket ones that fit the naked version but can't find any. Anyone out there with a tip or two?

True, that's definitely an option. There are some radiator guards out there, though. One made by Evotech and the other made by R&G racing. Can't seem to find out for sure whether the covers we see on the pictures are part of the guard assembly...?

On the Evotech one, the side covers are part of the aftermarket guard. On the R&G one, the guard is pictured on an FZ8 with the stock side covers. Some people also take the side covers from the FZ1S and mount them upside down and on the opposite side from stock. It's not as clean looking as the OE Yamaha ones, but it looks surprisingly good for what is actually done.
