Gen1 with r6 forks?

Anyone know if there is a year of r6 forks that is a fit for the gen1? There is a nice complete r6 front end at the local bike salvage I'm guessing its 06/07? Going after work today to look again.

Errors in R6 fork swap link from the Fazer site

There are quite a few errors mentioned in this attachment re chassis set up handling etc that should be clarified.

Lowering the front end is not the same as raising the rear. They both decrease rake and trail but one decreases swing arm angle and the other increases it. Less swing arm angle on the FZ 1 is not great as it will squat more under acceleration especially bad for cornering while exiting.

As well the R6's smaller fork offset will make it turn slower and heavier, not quicker and easier as trail is increased. So although you are speeding up steering by dropping the front end with shorter forks you are simultaneously slowing it back down by decreasing offset and hence increasing trail.

The best bet to improve any fork is to revalve it including the stock FZ 1s. $400 + springs from Racetech can be done by self if you are handy in the garage. Way way better. Than any stock fork upside down or not.
