I wonder if this is different in different states...
In NSW (or servos delivered out of Sydney), there are two refineries - Caltex at Kurnell for Caltex, Wollworths, Ampol and (I think Mobil) Fuels... Shell at Clyde (Silverwater) for Shell and BP... The indendants will buy from whoever is cheaper, so you just don't know...
So everything bad people say about Shell (in NSW) should apply equally to BP...
I use Shell, because The Bride shops at Coles, and while the 4c discount doesn't mean sh!t when filling the FZ, it is the servo I am in the habit of pulling into when dropping $180 into the tank of the Exxon Prado Supertanker...
