Home-made tank grip traction pads

I have some nice tank grip pads on my SV650 that were custom made by cutting the material from a template. I'd like to get some for a friend's FZ1 and need some help with the template.

If anyone has home-made their own grips, or even just has the measurements of tank grips, that would help tremendously.
