Hi all,
I have an '02 with an odd issue, any help is appreciated.
Intermittently when the signals are on for a short time, the entire dash starts flashing, including the odometer and clock,
It stops when the signal is turned off,
This has been like this since purchase 1 year ago, until yesterday when the flashing dash continued after the signal was turned off.
I turned the entire bike off and back on, flashing continued, since i needed to get home, I drove off and the flashing stopped.
I deployed the high beam and flashing started, but stopped when I switched to dim.
Otherwise it runs great, starts fine.
Thanks in advance

Are any of your turn signal bulbs burnt out?

I know that when one goes out that the indicator flashes at a rapid rate instead of the normal rate, it is possible some sort of short is causing what you are experiencing and you might need to replace a bulb?

Bulbs are good

What about the sator? Could that be the cause?

Check all the connectors and all the fuses.

I had a similar dash flickering and the engine cutting in an out just as quickly making the bike unrideable. It ended up being the main ignition fuse on the starter relay block, the socket was loose.

If your engine is running fine when this happens it might be a loose connection on one of the pins for the gauge cluster.

Or a short as previously suggested. It's not too difficult to go over all the connectors.

Thing is, it only happens at low idle, with the signal lights on, thats why i thought sator
