New to forum and Liter bikes

Hello Yamahaians,
I was Finally able to treat myself to a 2001 Fz1, and I gotta say right off the bat, HOLY HELL, I love the bike. after years on my ninja 250j, it's night and day in terms of the power and potential of the bikes. I'm excited to go on the journey of liter bikes with you!

WOW, that's a big jump from a 250 to an FZ1. The power of the FZ motor is addictive. I never get tired of cracking the throttle on mine.

I had a softer curve into my FZ. I started on a 250's 25 years ago. Had a bunch of 600's and moved into the GSXR750's for a number of years before buying a Liter bike. Recently got back into Pre Gen ninja 250's and have picked up a few. They are a lot of fun to ride to their full potential.

Be safe and have fun!!

here she is in the midst of a makeover back to the yamaha blue. however I am sure that it is missing a few pieces of the fairing or something up front. any ideas from the photos?

also; the 750cc jump is huge, and I cannot find any good tips or rules of thumb for Liter bike riding nuances and such. I'll phrase it this way: (sorry if placement is wrong) What are 3 things that you wish you had been told/made aware of riding this big of bike vs smaller end bikes when you started out, to save yourself undue stress physically and financially. 20210506_192052.jpg20210506_192043.jpg20210506_192107.jpg
