Still forsale lower price. I am selling the like new ohlins rear shock off my FZ1. I have the bike forsale and may trade it in so I am removing the shock and selling separately. It has maybe 300 miles on it and is a huge upgrade and improvement from the stock shock. It has hydraulic preload adjustment (no spanner needed) along with compression mod rebound. New is $1200
I will sell for $750 shippped to the lower 48 states. If you want it shipped anywhere else you pay exact shipping. MAKE ME AN OFFER!! IMG_4555.webpIMG_4556.webpIMG_4557.webpIMG_4558.webpIMG_4559.webpIMG_4560.webpIMG_4562.webpIMG_4563.webpIMG_4561.webp

Ohlins.......Quality company/product.

What would you trade the Gen 2 for, something sportier or something more comfortable? With only 5K miles it doesn't seem like the Gen 2 was living up to your or the previous owners expectations.

I have it for sale just to see if there is any interest. I like the bike and really want to keep it and also get a super sport for track days and just plain ripping the back roads. So lighter, easier handling, sportier riding positions. So far absolutely no interest at all. Just a bad time to be selling to be honest.

you bought it new? Where does the reservoir mount to?
Yes I bought it new. The reservoirs mount to the pass peg mounts. It was on the bike for maybe 300 miles so two rides. I sold the bike so I took it off to sell separately because it wouldn’t add value to the bike for the sale. It is in perfect like new condition.

Did you have anything done to the front suspension?
No I left it stock and just did a dump and flush with new fluid. I was able to get the correct rider sag with the stock springs. The front suspension is surprisingly good. Preload , rebound and compression. It’s really the rear that isn’t great. IMO

With gear I am about 220ish full leather boots . I was able to turn in about half of the preload to achieve 30mm of sag. It has a pretty wide range of adjustability.

One thing you need to remember is that ohlins has what you would call a generic spring that comes on their shocks. If you are too light for the spring they will change it. If you are real heavy they will change it. For the rest of us you get this spring. That is why they have the preload adjustment. Otherwise they would need so many different spring rates and you would not need a preload adjuster.
