Pyro's Twisted Texas Hill Country Tour '13

Well, here it is. 4th Annual Pyro's Twisted Texas Hill Country Tour!

Pics from the 2012 ride: Click Here

Ride Dates: April 12th-15th

The Three Sisters are several connected highways that combine 'twisties' and major elevation changes with West Texas rocky hill country: Our own lil' "Tail of the Rattlesnake", with sheer rocky drop-offs, narrow "mountain" passes, and beautiful have-to-stop vistas. Some parts are very challenging to riding and to the senses.

We'll be riding Friday from Houston, meeting up at Canyon Lake, and heading out West to the Twisted Sisters for a couple of loops on Saturday; staying in the local area that night (arrangements made, see below). Running a different reverse course back to Canyon Lake on Sunday, and back to Houston on Monday.

This is NOT a race. We are out to have a good safe ride, see the sights, ride at your own pace how you like. There are usually many other bikers out there who may need to be passed, only if you want to do so and it's safe please. If riders get separated, we will re-group at intersections, rest-stops, scenic stops.

Those of us coming from Houston will leave Friday morning and stop through Lockhart for Texas' best B-B-Q at Black's BBQ

215 N. Main St. Lockhart, Texas

then to the Willow City Loop, then down to Canyon Lake.

Dinner Friday evening 8pm at Startz Cafe - 10350 Startz Rd, Canyon Lake, TX

You can stay the night at my Lakehouse depending on your accommodations needs (some may be on cots or bedrolls) or you may choose to find a room at a motel nearby.

I'll have a pro work on that! Next year the trail will be marked!

Well it doesn't have to fall on you. We can help you come up with ideas.
I just like the idea and think it would be a fun tradition to start.
We have at least 9 months to think of ideas....that will give some time to have everything made.

How 'bout something like- "You'll get some (Camp) Wood when you come and ride the 3 sisters" ? :D

Hey Guys - I don't know if you've ever been up a road I was on yesterday on a ride. I was with 3 other riders and we went west/north on 55 past camp wood and past the turn for twisted sisters loop 335 intersection........and that part of 55 is AWESOME! Some wide sweepers that you can take at high speed - made me think of Texas World Speedway!!

I recently bought an off-road guide for this area. I am thinking about taking the DRZ next time and hanging out with the gang at night. ..... Or I could trailer both bikes and do a bit of both.

With my new Fall Ozarks ride done today - My thoughts are on Pyro's Twisted Texas Hill Country Tour next year. Been talking with some others about joining us. Lets coordinate again with other riders. I'll be thinking of modifications to the plans and everyone's opinions would be appreciated!

I look forward to seeing you all again in April. Get'R Done! (taxes) in advance and leave it behind. The Sisters will help!
