I just found out that I am being relocated to San Antonio, TX. Do you guys know of any good ridding around that area or will I have to travel a while for a good ride? Any advice would be great. I will be moving at the begging of August.

Yup, Three Sisters, Twisted Sisters, The Sisters, is a great ride.

On the FZ6 side of the forum we get a group ride together out there in the Fall. We'll rent cabins and make a weekend out of it. Very fun.

You landed in my hometown - get ready for LOT'S of traffic and construction problems! LOL
However - I agree with the other guys who suggested the Texas Hillcountry. It is flat out beautiful and full of windy roads. My favorite is about 40 min north of you on the west side of San Marcos called The Devil's Backbone! It's incredible! Just head up I35 north to San Marcos and take Ranch Road 12 ~ it will take you about 10 min to get out of city limits and then you will begin to see some of the most beautiful country in Texas!

Here is a small clip I found on Youtube:

Another popular spot is Beorne, Texas. Lot's of motorcycle rides from there to Fredericksburge, Texas. Absolutely beautiful! They will also ride from Beorne to Kerville. I especially recommend Hwy 16 about 5 miles south of Kerville! THE MOST WINDY ROAD I HAVE EVER BEEN ON IN MY LIFE! :wow: Enjoy!

Here is another resource for Hillcountry Riding:

Tons of stuff out there - this is just a start.
Good luck my friend - you moved into a great area to ride. Definately crappy traffic in town! LOL

OK - One more. This is the ride to Kerville that I was telling you about on Hwy 16. If it doesn't interest you (I personally think it's a great road) then please fast forward to 4:22. You will start to see the section of road that I was talking about! I freakin loved it!

I agree that the first video wasn't top notch. It is much prettier but I just couldn't find a better video.
Check out the second video! I really enjoy that ride. It is beautiful and a pretty challenging road to drive.

Yeah I missed that one while I was posting. The BMW one is pretty good.
