Hi all, I've just bougth a 2006 FZ1S with 24,000Kms on the clock. The bike doesn't have a servie manual so can anyone tell me roughly when services are due and what is serviced. If anyone knows of a free service manual download that would be great. I will this week buy a workshop manual so the question of How to do it will be covered. I'm partivularly interested in when the shims need checking and from past experience do the shims wear much?

According to the owner's manual, check valve clearance every 42,000km, spark plugs every 13,000 km, replace air filter every 37,00 km, drive chain check every 1000 km, engine oil & filter every 6000 km,. Those are some of the basics. Your manual has all the other stuff that's done one a more "just check basis".
