Stay Safe over Memorial Holiday

Hoping to get out this weekend, but the holiday traffic is a concern. Heavy traffic is not much fun. Plus extra intoxicated drivers. Also, extra patrols out.

Safety………..not seclusion, you kids get out of the house! There’s plenty of lonely back roads to tackle.

I’ve been staring at weather radar this morning looking for a potential route through a cluster of easterly heading showers that are expected in Mass today.

I’m probably going to throw on my heavy leather jacket (50-55F) today and risk getting wet. Saw more than a handful of bikes braving much more rain yesterday.

The rest of the week looks pretty damn nice.

Managed to get to western Mass and back with out getting wet yesterday. Got a little cool though. The wife was right that I should have used the heated vest but I couldn’t do it so close to June.

Today's starting off with wall to wall blue skys and 63 degrees already.

Great weather in western NC yesterday. Lower 70s and not a ton of people out. 6 of us did about 180 miles. No hustling, just meandering along for a change. Good thing too as one road we were on turned into newly paved with the loose tar and gravel type stuff. Was a bit sketchy for about 8 miles. No signs or anything warning folks either. Great few hours on the FZ1 otherwise.

You're right. Safety.........not seclusion. I did get out for about an hour and it was very nice. Not as much riding as I had hoped for, but better than nothing. It was a beautiful weekend.
