Taking sub-throttle spindle out?

I have to replace the sub-throttle spindle that holds the secondary flies.
Is there a way to get the dang thing out of the assembly? Looks like it should just come right out but doesn't.
My TB assembly is out...anyone here know the drill? Please enlighten me.
