Hi guys,
I have replaced the throttle cables on my 2007 FZ1 and to start with I attempted to slot the cables in to the retaining bracket attached to the throttle body. I could fairly easily attach the top cable but trying to attach the bottom cable was just about impossible. This frustrated me so much that I took the cable retaining bracket off what I assume is the TPS and attached the cables easily that way. Now my problem is getting spring tension by winding the spring what I believe to be 2 full revolutions to obtain correct return spring tension. For the life of me I cannot get the spring wound to tension not even close. Has anyone done this job themselves and know how to wind the spring?
